Makhanas, also known as Fox Nuts or Lotus Seeds, are the seeds derived from the Euryale Ferox plant. Eating Makhana as a snack during fasting (mostly in Asian countries) due to makhana’s nutritional value. Makhanas are also known for their medicinal value. 

Makhanas are a popular snack among those watching their weight for makhana being so low in Sodium, cholesterol, and saturated fats. Moreover, makhanas are a rich source of magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, potassium and protein.

Makhanas are low in calories, making them a good option for weight loss, and they are also high in calcium, making them healthy for bones. Eating Eating Makhanas are also helpful for controlling blood pressure, detoxification of the body and improving digestive health.
